Personal, Social & Emotional Development

The Personal, Social and Emotional Development of our children is the cornerstone of our holistic education. Right from the start, we teach our children to cooperate and share, and to manage their feelings and behaviour through taking responsibility for their own choices and behaviour. We place high emphasis upon kindness, courtesy, respect and tolerance, and these values are embedded inside and outside of the classroom.

Children take on positions of responsibility such as membership of the School Council, or as Charity Champions, and our Year Two Playground Monitors take their roles very seriously, looking out for any children who might be looking a little lonely or upset, and finding others for them to play with. By the time our pupils reach Year Six, they are confident without being arrogant, eloquent and emotionally intelligent, and they are ready to make the most of the new opportunities that will be on offer to them at their Senior Schools.
