We believe the application process is straightforward and explain this in more detail below. However, please do not hesitate to pick the phone up and talk to us at any time – we will be very happy to answer any questions you may have.

Stage 1.
Visit us! Please book a place on one of our Open Mornings.

Stage 2.
Registration for a Reception place is strongly recommended by a child’s first birthday and can be completed by submitting the online Registration Form. A non-refundable fee is required to secure pupil registration, however this does not guarantee that a place will be offered. Parents will receive a letter from the Admissions’ Secretary acknowledging this.

Stage 3.
Children registered by their first birthday are entered into a ballot. Siblings of current pupils are given priority. If places still remain after all siblings and children registered by their first birthday have been offered, then the ballot system continues to operate based on proximity of registration to the child’s first birthday.

Stage 4.
Following the ballot consisting of children registered by their first birthday, successful registrations will be invited to meet with the Head of Lower School or the Headmaster for an informal interview. This usually takes place 15 months before the Reception year commences. However, depending on the length of the waiting list, not all applicants will be invited in to interview.

Stage 5.
On receipt of an offer letter, parents have 7 days in which to accept a place. At this stage the deposit of £3000, a signed acceptance form and proof of identification are required.

Half of one term’s fees (at the new academic year fee cost) will be payable in advance on the first day of the preceding Summer Term. Both the deposit and half of one term’s fee are non-refundable on withdrawal of an accepted place before attendance at the school. The deposit will be returned to parents once the child leaves Year 6, subject to all outstanding fees being settled.

Stage 6.
Once a place has been confirmed and accepted, all relevant joining information will be sent.

  • Class sizes do not usually rise above 20, but if a class is full, parents will be advised about waiting lists and offered the opportunity to put their child on that list until a place becomes available.
