The school is situated next to Ravenscourt Park which gives us the benefit of convenient sports facilities without the need for coach travel to and from distant playing fields. Here we take full advantage of the tennis and netball courts and of the extensive open space for a variety of games activities.
The main building, originally built as a vicarage, houses the lower school. A newer building, completed in 1996, provides a gymnasium/assembly hall, music practice room and computer room in addition to Upper School classrooms and library. A separate building, completed in 2003, houses science and art in specially equipped rooms together with a further music room. In addition, this building has the pupils’ dining room and a well-equipped kitchen. Hot school lunches (with a vegetarian choice) are prepared on site by our contract caterer. Except for pupils excused on medical grounds, school meals are compulsory.
There is a playground at the front of the school where qualified teachers are on duty during break and lunchtime. The whole site is contained within a high boundary wall with only one entrance area and, during the school day, the pedestrian gate is kept locked electronically to allow vetting of visitors, thus providing maximum security.
