We view effective education as a partnership between parents and teachers.
The most important link is between parents and the child’s class teacher. Consultations can also be held with the appropriate member of the Senior Management Team and the Headmaster is available by appointment. The elected Parent Governor can be contacted directly or via the Parent Class Representative. It is essential that the Headmaster be informed if there are problems at home. In such cases confidences will, of course, be respected.
Class teachers report verbally on pupil progress at parent interviews in the autumn and spring terms. In the summer term a detailed written report is posted prior to parent interviews. At the end of this term there is an Upper School Prize Day when pupils may be publicly commended for achievement and effort. A newsletter is distributed each half term. This is the main way in which general information about school life is disseminated.
